Overcoming the Challenges of Public Speaking

Public speaking is one of the most dreaded of all fears. A small group of people will be seated around a conference table for hours at a time. Public speaking is one of the biggest fears that anyone can have and it is not one that most people think they have to be afraid of. But a simple fear like public speaking can turn into a phobia, leaving you unable to do the thing you were meant to do the next day.

So what exactly is public speaking? Public speaking is one of the most important parts of a successful entrepreneur. It is what separates someone who gets promoted to a manager from someone who just got their first job and runs around trying to get all the promotion opportunities in the world.

A speaker has to be able to communicate clearly and impart something of value to a group of people who are eager to hear the message. They are hungry for ideas, answers, and new information that will help them find the right path to achieve whatever it is they are looking for.

Public speaking is very intimidating for many people. They tend to shy away from it thinking that if they do, it will scare the audience away, or that they will make mistakes that will hurt their credibility and have them removed from the stage.

The simple fact is that any fear is not worth it. In fact, most fears can be easily overcome. The worst that can happen is that you get embarrassed by the mistakes you made, and then you are able to learn something from them. Your reputation is too important.

Just remember that if you’re up on stage you’re on stage. You’re in the same situation as everyone else.

The biggest challenge when it comes to public speaking is that you’re dealing with people who have worked with you for years and if they are in awe of you, it’s hard to loosen up. If you try to make them comfortable, you’ll have a difficult time doing it.

So, instead of being afraid of your own words, instead, try to relax and speak. Express yourself freely and honestly.

Your fear comes from inside you. You need to allow it to come out, it’s your life that is on the line. Your fear won’t disappear just because you’ve tried.

Your biggest fear is most likely your biggest inspiration. Your fear, combined with your vision, will take you where you want to go. This is why there are so many people who are successful.

Fear takes hold of your body and soul and you cannot force it to go away. The biggest fear is to be afraid, but it’s the biggest inspiration that you will be afraid, and then you’ll be inspired to do what you want to do.
